Children of school going age in Kangulumira have abandoned schools to scare birds in rice farms. This was revealed by the area member of parliament, Hon. Patrick Nsanja Mabirizi while meeting parents in Kangulumira town council at Nakatundu village.
Hon. Nsanja noted locals that making their children stay in rice farms instead of sending them to school is one of the factors that has contributed school drop outs in the community.
He advised them to keep their children in school as a measure to improve the quality of life in the community.
